WhatsApp makes it
easier for you to message unsaved contacts
WhatsApp, owned by Meta, has rolled out a
convenient new feature that allows users to message individuals not saved in
their contact list effortlessly. Previously, users faced difficulties when
trying to message someone without their number saved, often resorting to
third-party apps for a workaround, making quick or one-time conversations
inconvenient.
With the latest update, users can simply start
a new chat on WhatsApp and type the unknown number into the search bar. A Chat
button will then appear next to the number, enabling users to initiate a
conversation without the hassle of adding the contact to their phonebook.
According to reports, this feature is already
available on the latest WhatsApp builds for both iPhone and Android devices.
Furthermore, WhatsApp is reportedly working on @username support, which will
further streamline chatting with new contacts, eliminating the need to know
their phone numbers.
To access the Chat option, ensure your
WhatsApp is updated to the latest build from the Play Store. However, since
this is a server-side rollout by Meta, it may take some time for the feature to
appear for all users. This update enhances the user experience, making
communication with unsaved contacts more convenient and efficient on the
popular messaging platform.
